Motor Cars and Motor Sport:
It seems that we can't do without motor cars, and you only have to go to a motor sport event to see how popular motor cars are with all ages and all sexes. There's always plenty of bright colours, attractive subjects and people, and lots of movement. With my interest in good design I always like to look for beautiful shapes and colours, while with my interest in photography the passion is trying to capture the movement and the speed at a motor sport event. And it often seems harder when cars move slowly for me to keep the image sharp, while when they go fast it's hard for me to move the camera quick enough! Good panning, to follow a moving subject, is an artform in itself and when you see good action photographs you can immediately see the difference that it makes. So below are a few of my attempts!
The majority of these images were taken at the British Touring Cars Championship 2009 at Croft, near Darlington, and other motor images will gradually be added.
